A master of the miniature.

It was made official a couple days ago. Liorcifer is leaving Tribulation Tattoo (on solid terms) to start up his own tattoo studio in NYC. It was a long time coming and was only a matter of time. Here is the official announcement from Lior:

IT'S OFFICIAL!!!
We are very proud to announce.
After over 17 years of tattooing, and over 12 years in NYC,
It is time to go ahead and go another step forward in my career/ life.
I’m opening my own tattoo studio.
We are looking to get it all up and running by this coming fall- Halloween at the latest!
We will be remaining in the Lower East Side/ East Village in Manhattan, NYC.

At this point we are looking to get one more artist, and will be accepting portfolios soon.
In order to apply you must have the following qualifications:

-NO rock stars!!!
-responsible and dedicated full time tattoo artist with no ego issues.
-5-6 years experience of professional tattooing in a professional studio.
- Custom artist with NYC and surrounding areas clientele.
-at least a couple of past references contacts ( past employers, artists you worked with, etc.)
-able to commit for a long term position.
-able to get certified and work in NYC as well as travel to convention, in the US and abroad.

Almost a year ago, Facebook stopped supporting the API methods that were being used on the site to integrate this site with Facebook. Fixing it would be a ton of work, with not much documentation out on the new methods. To add more to my "I just don't want to do it", I was planning a wedding and my soon-to-be-at-the-time wife was pregnant. So, it didn't get done.

Well, I'm happy to say that it's all better now =)

I've recoded the entire site to use the new Graph API they've put out (and it's pretty awesome). So status updates are shared, mods added can be shared, and even posts from the iPhone app are going through too!

I'm also working on a way to integrate Facebook Connect into the site registration part to make signing up here easier.

Also, I'm going to start putting in some serious time into getting the new version of the site ready for launch. My shop is self-sufficient, Hell City is over, I've started a new gig in Palo Alto, CA to try an make some cash, and I have no money to travel, so I'm stuck in front of my computer for a while =)
